How do you stay ahead in Internet marketing?

The week before Thanksgiving, I was interviewing Joe Schriefer (the co-founder of Agora Financial), for the DailyCopywriter podcast.

And during our talk, we got to chatting about the future of online marketing, and how Facebook’s ad network + user data + AI, make it easier than ever to target the perfect prospect for your business.

Virtually ANYONE these days can send traffic to an offer and get data in 24 hours or less.

And as a result, media buying is becoming commoditized.

…all while the market gets more and more saturated.

So what’s the answer?

Well, in order to differentiate themselves, top media buying agencies are going “back to basics” by also offering copy and creative services to help optimize their clients’ campaigns.

That way, they can test more ad angles, without having to wait on their clients’ in-house copywriters to produce new ads.

… Which allows them to charge higher fees, while achieving better results for their clients.

Point being:

Despite rapid developments in online marketing, it’s still fundamental skills (like copywriting) that are giving businesses an edge.

Because when you master these basics, most of the competition can’t compete — no matter what disruptive new technology hits the scene next… or how “saturated” your market might be.
